Will You Be Mine?

Check out the upcoming styles for the heart felt holiday! Red must be the new black! <3

These Sweet Nike Women Aerofit highs are pink and red with off-white embossed hearts. Not so fast ladies, the kicks won't be available to the public until the morning of the 14th.

How about stompin' in these Air Force 1's? The toe area, heel tab, and lace holder area all feature a unique animal-like print in patent leather. These hot kicks won’t be able until the 16th of February. So, stay on the look out!

Nike Dunk Hi’s had a makeover for the upcoming holiday. They feature an all-red canvas base with miniature, white square patterns throughout the upper. They also have a white accent to compliment the square patterns on the shoelaces, the swoosh, the inner lining and the midsole.

Puma has also jumped on the sweet bandwagon with their First Round “Kisses”. The logo, shoelaces and tongue of the shoe are all done up in red, while the rest of the kicks feature white leather and metallic silver hints. And of course, the ‘kiss’ imprint on the side panels.

Vans turned the V2041 Hi into a sweet success with white leather on the upper part of the shoe, contrasting red stitching and of course, the Vans logo on the tongue is wrapped in a heart. How cute!

Last, but not least, Supra has also joined the Valentine’s Day hype with their new Broken Heart Skytops. The shoe is all canvas dipped in red with a keychain that holds two pieces of a broken heart.

Happy shopping!

Arc'teryx Veilance the Bear Grylls of Clothing

Sporty pro outerwear line Arc'teryx Veilance has released a new line of more casual clothing ($175-$1,000) that combines tough, outdoor-ready fabrics like Gore-Tex and Paclite. The result is stylishly cut everyday wear in fabrics that could withstand  a storm, a tornado, or even a volcano! ok maybe not a volcano but this stuff is tough.

QueStyle Interview

Calling all fashionistas,

Here is a fabulous interview with Shoeture that the folks at QueStyle did! Check it out and be sure to enter the contest!

Hey Questies!  For our latest QueStyle post we have some special treats for you!  If you recall, we had an earlier post about Shoeture (which can be found here).  Well we actually got an exclusive interview with the founder of Shoeture, Grant Hooks!  Check out his answers…

QueStyle:  Can you tell us a little about your inspiration behind creating shoeture?

Us: I wanted to make accessories that are different and unique. The idea started as simple charms and lacelocks, and we found that it’s actually very difficult to balance functionality with style. But after lots of iterations it evolved into the great product line we have now.

QueStyle: Shoeture works to rejuvenate the classic look of sneakers.  How do you think that translates into our communities?

Us: The fundamental ideas behind Shoeture connect with our community in many ways.

Probably the most important being that Shoeture helps you ‘love your sneakers again’ -it brings back that excitement and joy of having a new pair of shoes.

Given the economic times, it’s nice to be able to revitalize your favorite oldies and pretty much recycle them instead of buying a whole new pair.  This the idea of creatively reusing what we have resonates in our communities.

QueStyle: What qualities do you think make Quest Crew and Shoeture a sensible fit?

Us: First, Quest Crew has a fan base that’s fashion forward with their own stand-out style.  Second, the guys (Quest) are each artists in their own sense, and aren’t afraid to share that with the world.  Third, Quest is awesome!  What better fit with Shoeture could there be!? =)

QueStyle: Would you design a specific Quest Crew shoeture line, as you have done for Beat Freaks?

Us: Yes definitely!  We’re very interested in creating some custom Quest pieces and getting the guys involved in the design process.  The custom designs will probably be a limited run which will make ‘em even that much more special.

QueStyle: What has been your favorite memory since starting Shoeture in 2008?

Us: My favorite memories are simply hearing from friends saying “hey I saw somebody wearing Shoeture the other day”.  It’s exciting hearing that people actually love our products as much as I do.

QueStyle: Where do you hope to see Shoeture progressing in the next few years?

Us: We hope to get more exposure in the entertainment world and help promote the dance community at the same time.  We’ve gotten so much support from our dance industry friends, we need to return the favor as our fanbase and distribution grows.  Limited edition pieces, guest artist designs, gemstone encrusted bars, they’re all in the works.

QueStyle: If you were to move onto different accessories, where do you think you would go?

Us: People that wear Shoeture enjoy unique style, so anything we can do along those lines would fly.  Custom sneakers, rings, even tees would be fun.  But we’d always keep in touch with our fundamental “shoe couture”.

QueStyle: What do you love about Quest Crew?

Us: Well Quest symbolizes a lot of great qualities that Shoeture is always striving for: unique style, artistic freedom, and respect

within the community.  We’re constantly trying to find new ways to give back to our fans, and Quest does just that.

In addition to answering our Questions, Grant has graciously donated 2 sets of SHOETURE for us to give away on the site!  So now it’s YOUR time to show us how much you want to love your sneakers again!

For a set of KINGS BUCKLES SHOETURE WINGS:  we want you to identify which Quest member is sporting which shoes in these pictures.

Please send in you answers (please place the answer next to the number given to each picture) to questyle@questcrew.com.

For a set of KINGS BUCKLES BF GHETTOBLASTERS:

We want to see YOUR idea for a Quest Crew Shoeture.

Please send in an original design to questyle@questcrew.com.  Please make sure that if it’s not your artwork directly (i.e. a sibling

or friend’s design) you have explicit right to use their idea in this content.

One entry per household, please.  Please either enter the Photo ID contest OR the Design contest – NOT BOTH.

Those who submit to both and those who submit more than once to either contest will be disqualified.  ALL SUBMISSIONS FOR

EITHER THE PHOTO ID CONTEST OR THE DESIGN CONTEST ARE DUE JANUARY 30TH 2009.

Winners will be notified via email and also will be announced in the February Quest Xclusive – so make sure you sign up as a

A special thanks to Grant Hooks and all the folks at Shoeture for answering the questions and offering Questies a chance to love

Dancers Taking Over The World?

With the new year come new things, especially in the dance world. Starting January 28th America’s Best Dance Crew is coming to a TV near you. Any crew that you want to see battling it out? Will the West coast reign again or will the East coast dominate? Tune in to see what happens!

Also, launching this year as a web series, The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers will appear on youtube. The mastermind behind all

the greatness is Jon M Chu, the director of Step Up 2. The LXD is a series with the most amazing dancers, that also features

chorographers like Harry Shum (for all you Glee fans out there), Christopher Scott, and Galen Hooks. The episodes will involve

heroes and villains who have amazing powers of dance. They join forces with a back-story finally telling of how various dance

styles of the hip hop world came to be. It’ll also include live performances, instructional videos and online web community

enabling fans to learn their own moves, and interact with the making. Amazing huh? Check it out!

For all you Step Up 2 fans, Step Up 3D will be coming out summer of 2010. I know ya’ll are excited as I am! It features Harry

Shum (Again, for all you Gleeks!) and Adam G. Sevani. Look out for the trailer!

Great things in the dance world this year, can’t wait for more to come! For all you dancers out there, we all love you!

Sweet Tooth

So, when I search the web I mostly look for websites with blogs about fashion, night life, food, art, the news, but of course,

mostly fashion. I had stumbled upon something that was so great, I could not help but to share it with everyone. It's called

Baby Cakes. It is an all vegan bakery with great desserts! So, you can't really beat being healthy and having something taste

deliciously good at the same. Well it's highly unlikely,  but it was worth the thought though. You guys should check it out at it's

new location, 130 E 6th St, Los Angeles. They have everything from cupcakes to cookies, cookie sandwiches, muffins, and

brownies. Sounds pretty promising.
