Hooks Tips

Hooks are solid metal bars- they will not bend or stretch!

And since not all shoes are the same, they won't fit on every style/size.

But here are a couple tricks you can use to make 'em fit nicely =)

1) Start lacing higher on the shoe

Some shoes laces go further down the shoe, so Hooks may interfere with how the shoe naturally bends.

The solution is to skip the first set of eyelets and start lacing the Hooks higher on the shoe.

2) Use only 4 Hooks and use shoe tongue to push them together

Many hightops will be too difficult to put on if you lace on all 5 Hooks.

Try lacing on only 4 and then tying the laces behind the tongue so it leans forward

and pushes the Hooks together.

3) Make more eyelets

This is often a last resort since it's a permanent change to your shoes.

If you have gigantic feet or the eyelets are just too far apart like in this picture:

Then the only way to make the Hooks fit will be to make new eyelets.

In this example, we punched holes using a simple Belt Hole Puncher

(can be bought on Ebay for around $7):

Then lace on the Hooks as you would normally and enjoy!
